More from the "Harvest"

Mad Alex, bad hair day! I told her for Halloween she should be something REALLY scary, like a moody pre-teen! People will open doors and run away screaming! (by the way, she didn't think that was funny)
Still mad!
Carlie having fun on the way to the Harvest, trying to cheer sis up!
Matt listening to all of us girls in the car!
Self portrait. Matt at least was amused by this.

Amy and Allie

Can you tell who's who? Kendall in the fashion boots- later she was almost in tears with all the mud caked on them, Alex with the rolled up pants, because they're too big and were dragging in the ground, and Allie, you can't see it, but the Bronco's hat IS on!

The day started out a little rough. I clipped Alexs' bangs Sunday morning, I kid you not it was about 1/4 inch. They were always in her face, and I felt like she was hiding behind them. So, at least they'll be neater looking after the trim. Well, this resulted in almost hysterical crying for about 45 minutes. You really can't even tell that I did anything to her hair. Ugh! To have a pre-teen! The day got better as we got into the car to go to the Pumpkin Harvest. Alex is still mad (see pictures) and Carlie is excited and keeps saying "don't worry sis, they'll grow out." Which only reminds Alex how dire her situation is and the tears start flowing again! I decided to have some fun so I started taking pictures in the car - that got some laughs! We got to the Harvest and had a great time! Everyone got a little muddy, it was drizzling rain all day. After the Harvest we went to Anthony's for pizza, and then home for baths and bed. Good time by all!

Pumpkin Harvest

Sunday we decided to go to a Pumpkin Harvest and fair to get our pumpkins. We had a great time, but came away with no pumpkin! We got so preoccupied with the tractor ride, petting zoo, donkey ride, corn maze and the food that by the time we had to leave we didn't have any time left to search for the pumpkin! It looks like we'll get the pumpkins at the grocery store this year. I'll post more pictures tomorrow, along with more details. Did I mention they had a yurt on display? I was soooo excited! So, here's the first photo, one of me and the kids on the tractor ride, more to follow!

DUH!

I thought this was funny, on MSNBC there was a quiz, the first question was which country is near bankrupcy? I had to laugh. I'm sure everyone thought the same thing when they read the question. I don't know the answer they supplied, I was just thinking, US, DUH!

Bob's blog

Bob's found a way into his blog! (he'd forgotten his password) I love reading his writing. If anyone out there wants to read a really interesting blog, click the link at the bottom of the page for Bob's blog.

On a side note, Billy Graham has been hospitalized after tripping over one of his dogs. Maybe this is really the end?! I mean if Billy goes.........? (and, can you believe he's 89?)

Carlie has her OWN blog!

So, Carlie is what, all of 3 years old? Yesterday she came up to me and said, "Mom, I need my OWN blog." From a 3 year old!!!! She then told me she has her own website, but she needs a blog too. They're not the same. How in the world does she know this stuff? So, we sat down and made her a blog. She told me what pictures to put in, and what to write. Next week I'll let her type it in herself. (joking - that'll be 2 weeks away! ;o) ) It turns out she really does have her own website. I thought she was just saying that, but her dad helped her create it last week. So, if any of you would like to see what the world is like through the eyes of a three year old let me know and I'll send you an invite to Carlie's blog. (it's not open for anyone to read - for obvious reasons.) Just email me, or put a coment in the blog and I'll send you an invite. amy_connors@hotmail.com

Big Day at the Gym!

A little dark, but can you see them walking their moon rocks over to the next event?
Here Carlie is after class, looking good, and getting a drink all by herself!
Here Carlie is right before class, notice Earnest (the horse Papa Bob gave her) in her arm, he came to watch.

Carlie has been going to gymnastics in the parent-tot class for a few months now. All the kids are younger than she is, but she wouldn't go to the preschool class because her parent-tot teacher looks like Cinderella, and she's really nice, and actually, the best teacher ever, to quote Carlie. But, we had a breakthrough! Well, sort of. The "Cinderella" teacher started teaching the preschool class on Monday mornings, and since I don't work until late that day it's perfect! We dicided to try a class. This is the first activity Carlie has ever done on her own. At first she was a little hesitant, but then she was all in. Oh boy, I think I need to worry about her! She was the little leader of the class, mind you she's new, and this class of 6 little kids has been going on for a few months without her. They all know each other, she's the new kid. You'd never have guessed by watching the class. She spoke right up, and was always first in line, except when she got lost in another class - she got sidetracked and followed the parent tot kids to the parachute and joined right in. "Cinderella" was calling her back for a good minute before she figured out she was in the wrong place. Other than that it was awesome! She loves her class, and she's pretty good too! We'll post more, and some of Alex's class later.
